Frederic Chopin's Country Frederic Chopin, the greatest Polish pianist and composer, spent half of his life in Warsaw. On the 200th anniversary of Chopin's birthday - 2010 - a lot of musical events has been prepared, worth to attend and take part. To make your trip unforgettable You can spend a couple of hours visiting all the places where he lived, Ostrogski castle - now the seat of Chopin Society and his museum, Nuns of the Visitation church where he played organs as a school boy; Holy Cross church where his heart is buried according to his last will. You cannot miss Zelazowa Wola - Chopin's birthplace, situated in lovely manor house, surrounded by beautiful park, where piano concerts are often played. Very romantic place, not to be forgotten.  Going there by car you can see typical Mazovian landscape, part of National Park, with old-fashioned country houses and numerous stork nests which bring luck (not only children).
